Why Organize?

FIRST WHAT IS A UNION?????  A union is you and your co-workers coming together to collectivly bargaing what is fair and equitable in your work place.  I will ask you a question have you ever meet a union worker who is poor????????  They are far and few bettween.  A union is each and every persons right to be a member of.  Unions help working people and there families better thier living standard to live better lives.  Corporations will not give workers any more benifits than they have to........ Its up to you.......

In today's political and economic climate, WORKING PEOPLE HAVE TO STAND UP TOGETHER and take back their communities and country.  A union can help you create a more level playing field with your employer. Instead of one person telling management that wages should be fair, health and safety regulations should be followed and employees deserve good health care benefits, a union helps you speak together, in one voice. And that chorus of voices has more power than one lone voice. A union is the vehicle workers can use to help bring the chorus together.

CWA's Organizing Goal Is Not Simply To Win Elections

Winning elections assures the union and employees of their legal right to enter into negotiations with the employer. That's all. CWA's organizing goal is to build a strong organization to better enable employees to negotiate good contracts and increase their standard of living and quality of life.

With a union, workers can get together and create a positive vision for their workplace. Union worker typically make 11.5% more than non union employees.  Union dues are 2% of your wage.  I have heard the typical reason why not to join the union?  Unions only take dues and only protect the weak or lazy?  I am hear to tell you this, if you add up the benifits unions give you such as wages, pensions, 401k, voice in work place, health care, senority, the list goes on and on.  The amount of money on union dues is less than what you pay for car insurance.  Its a insurance policy that protect workers and there families.  Now on protecting the lazy?  The union protects everyone equaly and also protects the people who are not constantly sucking up to the boss and trying to recieve better favors.......If you think you and your co-workers might be interested in joining together to make some changes in your work lives, call us at 920-960-1843 or e-mail us. cwa4622press@sbcglobal.net You name will be confidential, and theNational labor relations act law protect worker who want to form unions.
